Justin Poon graduated with a Master Degree in Computer Studies from the University of Lancaster, England in 1980. He was also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), USA. Other qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Studies and a Higher National Diploma in Computer Studies from Leicester Polytechnic (now known as De Montfort University). Upon his return in early 1981, he was immediately employed by ICL Singapore (International Computers Limited which was then the largest IT company in Britain and Europe) as a support executive. When he left the company in 30/11/1986, he was already the manager of its Computer Services Division. Subsequently he joined CMS as its Systems Manager to manage its IT projects development and the Computer Services business.
After
about 7 years with CMS, he was made an
irresistible offer in 1994 by ENG Securities
(a stockbroking firm in Malaysia). He
set up his own IT consultancy firm in
order to accept the contracted job of
IT Operations Consultant cum Project Manager.
